This round trip begins from the viewpoint of Pedra Bela and brings you through one of the greatest hikes in Gerês to the Arado waterfall, where you may cool down in the heat of the summer day.

You’ll hike the paths that local shepherds use to access the famed vezeiras. The vezeira is the gathering of a village’s animals to be shepherded on unoccupied common fields Called baldios.

This trip will take you through some of the most scenic meadows in the Serra do Gerês, such as the Lomba do Vidoeiro or the Teixeira, as well as along the Arado river’s banks, where we will be able to admire the river’s rock pools and waterfalls. While hiking, you’ll be engaged in Portugal’s most remarkable National Park, surrounded by magnificent fauna and flora that are part of UNESCO’s Biosphere Reserve.

The Teixeira Valley and the Albergaria Oak Forest has some of the most beautiful hikes.
