This is one of those places that you will remember for the rest of your life.

On the main street of Prncipe Real in Lisbon, there is a large red door; to enter, ring the bell. This is the location of the Chinese Pavilion.

Although it is a bar, it could also be a museum or an antique shop. “The Chinese Pavilion will most likely be one of the most amazing places you’ve ever seen.”

The Chinese Pavilion has five rooms, each of which is uniquely decorated.

The dark wood cabinets and colorful walls that line the interior of Pavilho Chines house everything under the sun, from stately statues to fanciful cartoon figurines to military artifacts, maps, stained glass, and miniature aeroplanes hanging from the roof; everything you could possibly imagine is on display here. If the bar were only known for its eclectic interior decor, it would still be a must-see, but the venerable red-vested staff at Pavilho Chines is known for providing impeccable service and a comprehensive cocktail list that takes no shortcuts.

Don’t be afraid to wander around taking photos or playing pool on one of the two tables in the back bar. Whatever you do, go to this bar; it’s a MUST SEE and one of Lisbon’s best kept secrets, and despite the fact that it doesn’t advertise, it’s packed with tourists and locals almost every night.
